We ensure peace of mind for every client. Each of our therapists has to pass the following checks:
- Face-to-face interview. We meet with each new therapist and take them through a detailed interview process. Many questions will be asked to eliminate any therapists who may not be suitable. By meeting in person, we can check their appearance, professionalism and the way they would come across to the client. Only those who pass the screening interview move on to the next stage.
- Qualifications/paperwork. Depending upon the type of massage service being offered, we check the therapist’s qualifications. To join our team, they need to have at least a Level 3 NVQ certificate. If specialist massages are involved such as Thai massage or lymphatic drainage, we will ask to see CPD (Continuing Professional Development) accreditation.
- Insurance. Each of our therapists must have insurance, which covers public liability, malpractice, and professional indemnity. Policy expiry dates are monitored to ensure that insurance is always up-to-date.
- Background and identity. Each therapist undergoes a detailed DBS check (Disclosure & Barring Service). This reveals criminal charges that may have occurred in the past. At the same time, we verify identity.
- Practical skills. Our therapists have to show that they are skilled in what they do. According to their qualifications, we will assess them to verify that their knowledge is current. Their kit will also be checked to ensure that everything is fully hygienic.
- Ongoing training. Training is essential to provide our clients with the best service and to ensure consistency. Therapists must adhere to strict hygiene and safety practices. A zero-tolerance approach to sexual harassment is part of the company’s code of conduct.
